Tuesday Tunes: The Cab Day

It’s no surprise that we at Music Creates Us love The Cab; frontman Alexander DeLeon inspired the site’s creation, after all.  This week’s Tuesday Tunes just happens to fall on The Cab Day, an annual holiday for The Cab fans that started in recent years to celebrate the band on the release of their first album, Whisper War (April 29, 2008).  This year’s The Cab Day has been made all the more special because after nearly three years of writing and recording, The Cab has released five brand new songs!  The songs come on the Lock Me Up EP, The Cab’s first major release with record label, Universal Republic Records.  The EP is available on iTunes  now, so be sure to check it out!

We will certainly have an album review up in the coming week for Lock Me Up, but in the meantime we thought it only fitting to give our Tuesday Tunes a proper The Cab Day theme.  We’ve selected our favorite song from each of The Cab’s major releases: Whisper WarSymphony Soldier, and Lock Me Up. Be sure to share your favorites, as well!

Leigh’s Picks:
Whisper War: “Take My Hand”
Symphony Soldier: “Intoxicated”
Lock Me Up: “Numbers”

Sierra’s Picks:
Whisper War: “I’ll Run”
Symphony Soldier: “Temporary Bliss”
Lock Me Up: “Stand Up”

Head over to Spotify to listen to our picks here, and The Cab’s music here.
