The 1975 is a four-piece group from Manchester, UK and consists of members Matthew Healy (vocals/guitar), Adam Hann (guitar), George Daniel (drums), and Ross MacDonald (bass).
The band has released three EPs; Facedown, Sex, and Music For Cars. Their single, “Chocolate”, from Music For Cars, has the industry talking and has gotten the attention of many new listeners and fans.
The 1975 has had a busy and successful year so far. Their breakthrough hit, “Chocolate”, has been playing in the UK and US for months, they’ve performed at this year’s SXSW Music Festival, and they are getting ready to open for The Neighbourhood this summer in the US, and headline a tour in the UK in May and September. The band will follow up their busy summer with a self-titled, debut album release in September, followed by a headlining tour in the UK. They’ve worked with Arctic Monkeys’ collaborator, Mike Crossley, who co-produced the album. The band has debuted the music video for their newest single, “The City”, which you can watch below.
