On July 31st, I saw The Cab and Parachute perform with two of my best friends. It had been close to two years since the last time I had seen The Cab perform and until that night, I had forgotten how magical a concert can be. Half way through the set the mood changed in the crowd from uproarious cheering to a still appreciation for the atmosphere Alex Deleon and Chantry Johnson created for us. Chantry played the cello while Alex sang a mash up of “I’ll Run” and a cover of “Lego House” by Ed Sheeran. I could tell that they were really getting into the performance and I let my emotions get the best of me and began to tear up. I love when artists have a relationship with their audience and can share moments like that where it seems as though the artist remembers why he/she wrote the song in the first place. The Cab is the kind of band who gives the music all they’ve got to give, and every song they produce is your new favorite. This is why I have such a strong connection with the band and can’t wait to see what else they have in store for me and their other fans.
